Über diesen Teppich
A slope of dark scree. Kohl is the pigment lined along the eyes across Morocco, and this solid Beni Ourain rug wears it as a whole field: deep, soft and matte. Weavers once trusted the wool to hold this dark. Zarbish makes it now.
The field is matte: the strands are twisted tight and their tips are blunt, so almost no light bounces back, and the tone stays the same from every angle. Part the pile and the wool underneath is as deep in tone as the surface.
Neue Designs, die Räume, zu denen sie passen, und wie jedes einzelne entsteht.
