Über diesen Teppich
Ochre mud bricks stacked into a wall at sunset. A hamada is the desert's stone plateau, and this sculpted Beni Mrirt round rug lifts the same: raised blocks of pile over a clipped ground. Weavers once knotted the level ground. Zarbish raises the blocks today.
The ground here is pale and the blocks warm, so the channels show clearly as light lines, and the outer blocks are trimmed by the circle against a pale binding. The blocks give, the ground does not.
Neue Designs, die Räume, zu denen sie passen, und wie jedes einzelne entsteht.
