Sobre esta alfombra
Black rock and white foam, a river boiling through. Ouzoud drops in steps into a pool of boulders, and this diamond Beni Ourain runner lays that pool's bed: stone after stone, water pale between. Weavers once laid stones from memory. Zarbish lays it today.
Three columns of dark shapes run the length, offset so that no two line up across, and the pale bands between them branch like a river seen from the air. At the long edges the shapes are cut mid-form.
