Spring, a field gone coral with poppies. Tafsut is spring in Amazigh, and the striped Beni Ourain round rug is that picture: lined at the top, soft peaks at the foot. Weavers once knotted the thaw, spring after spring. Zarbish makes it now.
An oval of stripes hangs in the upper half of the circle, and below it the peaks and mounds stack toward the base, cut off by the rim where they reach it. The dotted peak is tied with its dots in two tones, and the mound at the bottom carries dark ones.

La historia
Cómo se hizo Tafsut
Tafsut, primavera, en amazigh. Un campo teñido de coral por las amapolas, y esta alfombra redonda Beni Ourain lo recoge en un círculo: rayas en lo alto, cumbres suaves al pie. Los artesanos anudaban antes el deshielo, primavera tras primavera. Zarbish recompone ahora ese paisaje para el círculo, con sus rayas y sus cumbres; la lana, en cambio, se sigue anudando a mano, como siempre.
