About this rug

Dry flower stems on a mountain edge. A path is abrid in Amazigh, and this striped Beni Ourain rug lays several side by side: thin jagged lines with small diamonds. Weavers once walked paths like these in wool. Zarbish makes it today.

The lines are only a few tones lighter than the ground, so they come and go with the light: clear when the pile leans one way, gone when it leans the other. The ground is tied full and matte, and the lines are a single row of pale knots.
