Green Rugs

Let the light pick the green. Sage and olive stay soft in a room with little sun, while forest green and teal hold their depth in bright light. Green comes as a solid, carved, in lines and in checks.

Any room built on natural materials: sage and olive settle into Scandinavian, Japandi and farmhouse rooms, and forest green belongs with walnut, leather and brass. In a biophilic room the rug ties the greenery to the floor.

With wood, almost always, and a warm floor makes sage and olive look richer. A cool gray sofa flattens sage, so choose olive or forest green, or sage with a dark line through it.
