How do I choose the right size and shape?

Size it to the furniture, not the floor: at least 18 in shows beyond the sides and foot of a bed, and under a dining table it runs 24 in (60 cm) past the edge. Nana comes in three shapes, Classic, Round and Runner, in a standard size or a custom size priced as you type. The size guide has plans room by room.

How soft is the tone of Nana, really?

Calm rather than bright: a soft, unsaturated tone, like a leaf steeped in tea, with no border competing for attention. The only mark is a cross where the nap gathers at the center. Good daylight shows the tone at its clearest and turns the cross into a gentle shift in the wool.

Is Nana hand-knotted, even with no pattern?

Nana is knotted by hand in 100% natural wool at a high density. On a solid rug nothing hides the wool, so the density shows as depth and evenness.

Where should I put Nana?

Nana earns its place as a runner alongside the bed, since it keeps the bedside calm. Medium or shag pile feels softest under bare feet there.

Will the cross at the center of Nana show in every pile height?

Accepted Answer

It shows in all of them, with different strength. In shag 1.2 in (3 cm) the nap has the longest run to turn, so the cross reads clearly. Medium 0.8 in (2 cm) keeps it soft. Short 0.4 in (1 cm) makes it a faint seam on a flatter, more even field.

Will a solid rug like Nana show marks?

A solid field shows more than a pattern, pale tones most. Vacuum weekly with suction only, along the pile, and blot spills at once with cool water from the edge inward. New wool sheds a little in its first weeks, and that settles. The care guide covers the rest.

Can I swap a color on Nana?

Accepted Answer

Select the color, choose a new one from our 30 wool shades, and the preview changes at once; the weavers make the one you approve. That version is 10% above the size's price and takes one extra week.
