About this rug
A red rock arch at dusk, lavender light under it. Legzira is the beach the sea cut arches through, and this arched Berber runner stacks them, one inside the next. Weavers once tied arches like these from memory alone. Zarbish makes one today.
Half the runner is open ground with one set of arches on it, and the other half is a stack of solid blocks with hardly any ground between them. The change from light to dense happens in a single row, and the deepest blocks near the end swallow the light.
