About this rug
Spring, a field gone coral with poppies. Tafsut is spring in Amazigh, and the striped Beni Ourain runner is that picture: lined at the top, soft peaks at the foot. Weavers once knotted the thaw, spring after spring. Zarbish makes it now.
The stripes fill the top half, then the runner goes quiet in plain pale wool before the mountains gather at the foot with a small round sun among them. The stripes are brighter here than the peaks, and their edges are soft.
