Azetta Medallion Moroccan Runner

Reeds along a mountain river, tall stems in the green. Azetta is the loom in Amazigh, and this striped Berber runner shows its workings: upright bars like the warp, a bar across. Weavers once knew the frame by heart. Zarbish knots it today.

Each stepped column is edged in a paler line that follows every step, so the columns read as if lit from one side. The ground is light and dense, the center line is a single deep thread down the length, and the hooked marks in the corners are tied in a different tone from everything else.
