About this rug
Oranges on the branch. Fakhar is pottery in Arabic, and this striped Berber rug sets the shapes out like a shelf of it: rounded forms in rows between two solid bands. Weavers once poured these shapes unaided. Zarbish makes it today.
The blots have no outline: each one runs a little into the field around it, deeper at the center and thinner at the edge, like a drop spreading on a cloth. Both end bands are tied dense and even, and the blots on them are sharper.
