Question 1

How do I choose the right size and shape?

Accepted Answer

Size it to the furniture, not the floor: at least 18 in shows beyond the sides and foot of a bed, and under a dining table it runs 24 in (60 cm) past the edge. Hammam comes in three shapes, Classic, Round and Runner, in a standard size or a custom size priced as you type. The size guide has plans room by room.

Question 2

Will I hear from you while it's made?

Accepted Answer

We write at every stage: the order confirmation, the day knotting begins, the day your rug is finished, and tracking when it ships.

Question 3

Do the squares on Hammam look like hard-edged tiles?

Accepted Answer

No. On the rectangle and the round, soft-edged squares sit in a straight grid, each wrapped in a halo of warm color, with small dots in the gaps, so they read as glazed tiles with a worn finish. The runner is a different design, striped bands scattered with small mirrored marks.

Question 4

Is Hammam hand-knotted, tile by tile?

Accepted Answer

Each tile is knotted by hand in 100% natural wool, color by color, densely enough that small blocks stay distinct instead of running together.

Question 5

Where does Hammam work best?

Accepted Answer

This rug is at its best in a living room, where its pattern gives a seating group a center. Any pile works there; shag is softest where people sit, medium is easiest to live with. It also suits a dining room.

Question 6

How do the halos read in different piles on Hammam?

Accepted Answer

Short 0.4 in (1 cm) pile keeps each halo and the small dots sharp. In medium 0.8 in (2 cm) and shag 1.2 in (3 cm) the wool moves, so the halos shift a little as light crosses them. In shag the dots soften and the squares become soft islands.

Question 7

How do I keep Hammam looking fresh?

Accepted Answer

Small tiles hide crumbs and grit well, so weekly vacuuming with suction only does most of the work, and it also lifts the loose fiber new wool lets go of in its first weeks. Blot spills with cool water from the edge inward, never rub, and skip steam and carpet foam. The care guide has the full routine.

Question 8

Can I make Hammam warmer, cooler or softer?

Accepted Answer

Change any color to another of our 30 wool shades and the AI preview shows the new mood at once; the approved preview is the rug the weavers knot. It costs 10% more than the size's price and takes one extra week.
