About this rug
An almond orchard in dusty-rose blossom. Aker is the tint of the souk, and this checkered Berber rug is those presses: soft squares, each held by a dark mark. Weavers once pressed marks like these into wool. Zarbish makes it today.
The nine squares are tufted in a longer wool than the field, loose and soft to the hand, and the bars that cap them are flat, tight, and the darkest wool on the rug. The pale field is even and full.
