About this rug

A lake at dusk, blush hills. Tislit is the bride, and a lake near Imilchil, wept by lovers kept apart. This medallion Beni Ourain round rug holds one ringed form at its heart. Weavers once tied a bride's medallion from memory. Zarbish ties it now.

A ring of small dots circles the field just inside the pale outer band, each dot a few knots of a warm tone, and the diamond at the center is outlined in a single thick dark line. The soft field between them is full and matte.
