About this rug
Honeycomb, cell against cell. Tamment means honey in Amazigh; this checkered Berber runner is the comb it comes from: rounded cells in a grid, built the way bees build. Weavers once tied combs like this with memory alone. Zarbish makes it now.
The wing shapes are edged with small jagged marks in a deeper tone, like teeth along a leaf, and a thin line splits the runner down its exact center. The ground is tied full and warm, and between the wings it shows as bands of plain wool.
