About this rug

A stand of tall reeds below a dry hillside. A path is abrid in Amazigh, and this striped Beni Ourain round rug lays several side by side: thin jagged lines with small diamonds. Weavers once walked paths like these in wool. Zarbish makes it today.

Five pale zigzags cross a warm ground, tied with a slight waver, and the warm wool between them has a faint mottle that shows only up close. The rim is bound in the ground tone.
