About this rug

Roses in a garden, peach blooms. The Agdal is the walled garden of Marrakech, orchards in squares, and this floral Berber runner keeps that order: blossoms at the corners and the heart. Weavers once planted gardens like it unaided. Zarbish makes it now.

One stepped shape fills the runner nearly edge to edge, and the ground around it is a deep tone that shows only in the corners. At the center a pale stepped cross holds two small dots, the lightest knots on the rug.
