5x8 Rugs

A 5x8 ft rug takes a desk and its whole chair in an office, the play area in a kids room, or the coffee table in a small floating layout. When the sofa and chairs should stand on the rug, the 6x9 is the next step.

Under a sofa and chairs, usually yes: the front legs cannot all reach it, and the rug floats in front of the seating. With a full sofa and two chairs, start at 6x9. Is my rug too small shows what a living room needs.

Room for the chair to roll back: set the desk on the 8 ft side with its front legs on the rug, and the chair keeps its wheels on wool. Short pile lets it glide, and an L-shaped desk needs a larger rug.

Yes, in short pile, steady underfoot for blocks and quick to vacuum. The dyes are natural, non-toxic and fixed, and a bright, colorful design hides small marks better than a pale field.
