About this rug

A fallow field framed by bands of mustard and coral flowers. The Bahia is the Marrakech palace; this checkered Berber round rug holds that plan: a worked frame, plain inside. Weavers once held the board in memory. Zarbish makes it now.

The border is a loose wash rather than a line, heavier at the top and bottom and thinner at the sides, with deeper blotches pooling where the wash is thickest. The plain center is a full, even wool with no mark on it at all.
